LSU QB Max Johnson says he is entering the transfer portal

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU quarterback Max Johnson surprisingly announced on Twitter Tuesday that he will be entering the transfer portal.

The sophomore started every game for the LSU Tigers this season, throwing for 2,815 yards and 26 touchdowns.

He also rushed for a touchdown in LSU’s 27-14 win over ULM.

Appearing in 18 total games, Johnson threw for 3,884 yards and 35 touchdowns.

He was 8-6 as LSU’s starting quarterback.
