NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – This week’s cover of Sports Illustrated will feature LSU’s superstar running back Leonard Fournette.
Fournette, a New Orleans native and former St. Augustine Purple Knight, has taken college football by storm. Behind his dominance at the running back position the LSU Tigers are off to a red hot 5-0 start and are No. 6 in the national rankings.
Averaging over 200 yards per game this season, Fournette is widely considered not only the best running back in college football, but the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy come December.
