PONCHATOULA, La. — The Ponchatoula Green Wave wrapped up their 2023 regular season schedule with an 88-59 win over Carver Friday night.

A fast start propelled the Green Wave to a 24-15 lead after the first quarter of play. Ponchatoula would keep their foot on the gas, outscoring Carver 22-21 in the second, 22-13 in the third, and 20-19 in the final frame.

Allen Graves led all scorers with 25 points while fellow seniors Jeremiah Lewis and Taj Jackson each tallied 23 points in the Green Wave victory.

Carver senior guard Laurence Nathan and junior big man Daijon Leatherman both scored 17 for the Rams.

Ponchatoula improves to 26-4 with the win and closes out the regular season on a ten-game win streak. Friday’s win marked their 22nd this year by at least 15 points.

Both teams will know their playoff fate when the brackets are released Monday.

Ponchatoula entered the night number two in the Division I Non-Select power rankings while the Rams were ranked third in Division II Select.
