NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Brody Rowbury’s 19 points helped Southeastern defeat the New Orleans Privateers 73-68 on Saturday night.
Rowbury also contributed six rebounds for the Lions (6-8, 1-0 Southland Conference).
Roger McFarlane added 16 points while going 5 of 14 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 7 from the line, and they also had 10 rebounds.
Roscoe Eastmond finished 5 of 5 from the field to finish with 12 points.
The Privateers (5-9, 0-1) were led in scoring by Khaleb Wilson-Rouse, who finished with 17 points.
Jordan Johnson added 16 points, six assists, and three steals for New Orleans. Jamond Vincent also recorded 13 points.
Both teams next play Monday.
The Lions visit Nicholls State and New Orleans plays Texas A&M-Commerce at home.
