TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detective is vying for the title of “NFL Fan of the Year.”
In November 2023, TPSO Detective Jonathan Matherne won the title of “New Orleans Saints Fan of the Year.”
The win gives him the opportunity to attend Saints functions, as well as the NFL Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
Matherne described the experience as a dream as he toured the team’s training facility, getting to hold the 2010 Super Bowl Trophy and trying on the ring.
Wednesday, Feb. 7 is the last day for the public to vote for who they want to take home the grand prize.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, Feb. 8.
