HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Nick Caldwell’s 16 points helped Southeastern defeat McNeese 77-74 on Saturday night.
Caldwell had eight rebounds and three blocks for the Lions (9-13, 4-5 Southland Conference). Roger McFarlane added 15 points while going 4 of 11 from the floor, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and 5 for 6 from the line, and they also had six rebounds.
Roscoe Eastmond was 5 of 12 shooting, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the line to finish with 15 points.
CJ Felder finished with 16 points for the Cowboys (19-3, 8-1). McNeese also got 15 points, eight rebounds and three steals from Christian Shumate.
In addition, Shahada Wells finished with 15 points, five assists and three steals.
The loss ended a 14-game winning streak for the Cowboys.
