Wallace's 5 goals lift Rummel past South Lafourche in the first round of DII playoffs

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — No. 4 Rummel defeated No. 29 South Lafourche, 8-0 in the opening round of the Division II boys’ soccer playoffs.

On senior day, Christopher Wallace delivered for the Raiders with a five-goal effort.

Wallace scored two goals in the first half and delivered three more in the second half after a fiery halftime speech from head coach Julio Paiz.

Trey Lejeune added two more goals on the day while Daniel Haworth added another in the second half.

Rummel will play the winner of No. 13 Beau Chene and No. 20 Lakeshore in the second round of the Division II playoffs.
