NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)— Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is now officially open at Walt Disney World and will open later this year at Disneyland. To tie in with the opening of the new attraction, a soundtrack with New Orleans-themed tunes is now available.
The soundtrack will include an all-new original song, “Special Spice,” which is written, produced and performed by Grammy-Award winner PJ Morton with vocals by Ania Noni Rose, who is the original voice of Princess Tiana.
Legendary Grammy-Award winner Terrence Blanchard also contributed to the soundtrack including songs from the “The Princess and the Frog” like “Gonna Take You There” and “Almost There.”
A handful of other New Orleans musicians including Jon Batiste, Jon Cleary, Trombone Shorty, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Charles Gabriel, Terrance Simien and Leah Chase Kamata.
Chase-Kamata is the daughter of Dooky and Leah Chase, the New Orleans staple and accomplished singer lent her voice for the queue song, “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans.”
Princess Tiana is based off of the late Leah Chase, who’s known as the “Queen of Creole Cuisine.”
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure soundtrack is available now on Walt Disney Records across all streaming platforms.
