NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Another cluster of rain and storms is moving out of Texas and through the central part of Louisiana Wednesday morning. This activity will once again try to make its way down to our area by later morning and early afternoon.
This system does not look near as strong as the one we saw Tuesday. However some strong wind gusts will still be possible along the leading edge of storms. Have a way to get warnings just in case.
Expect scattered storms Thursday but in more isolated fashion as opposed to a large batch of rain that moves in. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s today and tomorrow before rain pops up.
After that drier air tries to work into the area for the weekend. That will bring those afternoon highs back into the low to mid 90s on Friday.
