Tropical storm Erika is the newest named storm in the Atlantic. The wind speed Tuesday morning was only at 45 mph with this storm as it was moving west at 20 mph. Right now it does not look very impressive but is forecast to strengthen over the next few days. The current track takes the storm over the Bahamas. However, while not an immediate threat to the gulf a weaker storm could move further to the west and that will be something we have to watch for.
