NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Another scorcher is on the way for your Tuesday with temperatures once again topping out in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values will likely be just a shade lower than Monday, but still reach above 110 for most of the area.
An excessive heat warning is in effect for most of the area again today.
Some changes start to move in over the next couple of days. Wednesday will see more showers and storms develop through the afternoon, so even though we get into the low to mid 90s you will get a bit more relief through the day.
Overall a pretty typical summer pattern is on the way through the second half of the week, with hot conditions each day followed by pop up showers and storms.
