NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A strong line of rain and storms is moving east across the area Monday and will produce gusty winds and locally heavy downpours. The threat of severe weather will end once this line pushes through. Expect light to moderate rain to continue through the afternoon and early evening before we dry out tonight.
Temperatures through the afternoon will remain in the 70s thanks to rain and cloud cover.
The next few days look mainly rain free with just a spotty shower possible Tuesday and Wednesday. Look for temperatures to be in the 70s this afternoon after the rain begins. Mid 80s return for highs Tuesday through Thursday with low 80s Friday.
