NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Tuesday is going to be a carbon copy of Monday with warm and muggy conditions through the day. Look for a southerly breeze around 15. A few sprinkles or a brief shower will be possible but not likely. The best chance will be along and west of I-55.
Temperatures will gradually increase each day and we may even see our first 90 degree day of the year in New Orleans on Wednesday or Thursday. Overnight lows will only drop into the 70s.
We are watching the potential for a cold front on Friday which could bring in some lower humidity and cooler air by the weekend. Expect some scattered showers and storms with the front. Right now it looks like this comes in late Thursday night to early Friday.
A few stronger storms are possible as the front moves through but there are still a lot of questions on that. Either way it does look like we will see much lower humidity for the weekend.
