NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The same story will remain in place over the next few days across our area. High pressure aloft will keep daytime heating storms from developing and also keep clusters of storms to our north. The more active pattern will be between I-20 and I-40. That’s where we will continue to see storms moving over the next few days. Right now it looks unlikely any of these impact our area.

Most of the area will see low 90s Friday through Monday. Overnight lows will stay in the 70s through the rest of the week keeping it very warm. Humidity will prevent temperatures from dropping too much at night.

We may be able to get a front through the area by the middle of next week that would let us cool down more at night, but it’s time to get those through this time of year so we will watch that over the next few days.
