NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Hopefully you enjoyed the lower humidity Saturday because it won’t be sticking around through the day Sunday. We are already seeing dewpoints back in the low to mid 70s south of I-10. That airmass will continue north across the area tomorrow bringing a more humid feel to the area.
The forecast has changed a bit from what it looked like late in the week. It now looks like a weak front pushes into the area on Monday with a chance for afternoon and evening showers. Beyond that slightly drier air tries to move back in with lower rain chances through the middle of the week.
The big story will likely be the tropical moisture around the eastern Gulf by the second half of the week. As that stays east our rain chances stay relatively low. Afternoon temperatures will continue in the low 90s for a good portion of the area.
