NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The same story will remain in place over the next few days across our area. High pressure aloft will keep daytime heating storms from developing and also keep clusters of storms to our north. This could change as we get into later Monday or Tuesday. The ridge starts to break down and we could see some of those storm cluster back into our area. There is still a question on when that happens though. Right now it looks like we see rain chances go up Tuesday and Wednesday, at least in an isolated fashion.

It will be hot again on Sunday. Look for temperatures to get back into the low 90s across the area. Monday will also see low to mid 90s for a hot Memorial Day. Overnight lows will struggle to drop below 80 which means it will stay warm through the night.

Temperatures will drop down a little bit by the second half of the week.
