NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The front from yesterday is sitting along the coast Tuesday morning and this will be where we see the best chance of rain today. Look for scattered showers and storms across the lower parts of coastal parishes. These likely won’t move much so locally heavy downpours will be possible. Otherwise rain chances are very spotty through the rest of the area.
Slightly drier air will continue to move in for areas mainly north of I-10. We will see some lows in the upper 60s Wednesday and Thursday morning. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will top out around 91.
Heat builds back in by Thursday through Saturday with mid 90s for much of the area. Right now it looks like tropical moisture moves in with rain by Sunday into early next week.
