CHALMETTE, LA – On Wednesday afternoon, a slow moving thunderstorm prompted flash flooding throughout Arabi. Viewers sent in photos and video of flooded roadways and stalled vehicles.

According to the National Weather Service, Arabi received five inches of rain in just 90 minutes.

As of 6:15 p.m. the rain has moved out and the flash flood warning is no longer in effect.
