NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — More nice weather is on the way over the next couple of days. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 40s Wednesday morning. High temperatures will be a similar to Tuesday, topping out at around 67 degrees.

A weak cold front will move through Wednesday so we are looking a bit cooler with the low 60s Thursday before quickly coming back up to the upper 60s Friday for a nice end to the week.

Showers and storms are forecast to return Saturday ahead of our next front, with rain chances at 60 to 70 percent. There are still some timing issues this far out, but at this point the second half of the day Saturday is looking soggy. Some of the rain could be locally heavy. It does look like this system is slowing some so we may be able to extend the dry period Saturday for a little longer.

Once the rain clears, cool and breezy conditions are expected Sunday afternoon. Expect a few lingering showers to wrap around this system Sunday and Monday, but nothing heavy.
