NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Good Morning, New Orleans and a Happy Tuesday! Our forecast for the upcoming morning and your afternoon will be warm with humidity and a southerly wind.
Right now, we are waking up to low or mid 70s across the region. This is what you can expect for afternoon highs the rest of your week. Highs will jump into the low and mid 80s once more as we flirt with 1974’s record high of 85 degrees. Another cold front will arrive this evening with rain in the area out ahead of it.
Storms will begin to fire up shortly after peak evening commute hours. The Storm Prediction Center is issuing a Slight Risk (Level 2/5) for Biloxi and Mississippi communities east of Gulfport. Otherwise, Northshore parishes can anticipate a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) with gusty winds as a primary concern. Rain in the area will push southeast until late tonight before clouds clear and winds shift into the overnight period Wednesday.
We’ll be waking up Wednesday to 50s on either side of the lake. Highs will then only jump to low 70s with a transition on northerly winds and dry air locked in place all weekend. It will be beautiful through early next week! Enjoy this absolutely perfect forecast for Wednesday at the Square and Hogs for the Cause!
