NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Very nice conditions will continue Wednesday evening as a weak cold front moves through. That will drop lows Thursday morning back into the upper 30s to mid 40s. Expect highs in the mid 60s Thursday afternoon with more clouds then we will quickly warm back up to the upper 60s to around 70 on Friday for a nice end to the week.

Showers and storms are forecast to return Saturday ahead of our next front, with rain chances high by late in the day. There are still some timing issues this far out, and it looks like this will be slower to move in. Right now we will likely see rain hold off until at least 4-5PM, with rain chances going up as you get past 6-7 in the evening. That trend could continue to slow even more though over the next day or two.

Once the rain clears, cool and breezy conditions are expected Sunday afternoon. Expect a few lingering showers to wrap around this system Sunday and Monday, but nothing heavy.
