Good Morning, New Orleans! It’s a purple, green, and cold forecast for Mardi Gras this morning! Bundle up as you put those costumes on! Cooler and drier air has moved into the region in the wake of a cold front that moved through on Lundi Gras!

Temperatures have dropped into the 40s this morning but will climb towards low 60s this afternoon. Breezy conditions will make it feel even colder with winds at 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph.

What regal weather we have this Mardi Gras Day! Temperatures will quickly rebound and warm into the mid 60s by Ash Wednesday and low 70s by Thursday.

Rain chances are elevated at 60 to 70 percent on Friday and Saturday ahead of our next cold front over the weekend. Happy Fat Tuesday!
