GARYVILLE, La. (WGNO)- Heavy winds associated with the severe weather that moved through our area last night knocked down several power lines along Airline Highway in St. John Parish, cutting off electricity to some residents in LaPlace and Garyville.
According to Entergy, the outage is affecting about 1,000 customers in the area.
Crews are currently working to prepare the lines and restore power in the area.
