NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Scattered showers and a few storms have been moving through the area Monday afternoon. Most of this activity will taper off as it moves north of the area by this evening and tonight. Expect a mostly dry day on Tuesday with just a passing shower in the far northern areas.
We will turn our attention to Wednesday as a potent storm system will be moving through the region. The main energy with this will be a lot further south than the past couple meaning severe weather is going to be more of a threat. Right now we are in the level 3 outlook from the SPC for severe weather. Timing looks to be late morning through early afternoon.
Make plans now to stay aware of weather conditions through the day Wednesday.
After that it looks like another beautiful stretch of weather moves in just in time for the end of the week through the weekend.
