NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Expect Saturday to look a lot like Friday. Temperatures will warm fairly quickly into the low 90s by early afternoon. Heat index values will once again be around 105-110.

By early to mid afternoon showers and storms will develop around the area. These will be isolated and it won’t rain everywhere. However like the past couple of days the storms will produce very heavy rain and not move much. Localized areas of flash flooding will be possible.

Look for less rain by Sunday with highs back in the mid 90s.

Early next week will depend on the inland track of Beryl. Right now it looks like the system could draw up moisture into the area with increased rain chances Monday through Wednesday. That would help keep temperatures lower.
