NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) β Overall we will continue to see warm weather with not much rain chance for the next few days. However the one caveat to that for the week is if a storm cluster develops to our west and is strong enough to push through the high pressure into our area. That is something we could see over the next few days.
In general we will see a more active pattern to our north between I-20 and I-40. Cluster of storms that develop will move east and southeast. Most models have this activity fading out before reaching our area. However itβs possible some hold together enough to bring in some rain, especially north of I-12. The first chance of that comes in later tonight.
Look for upper 80s to low 90s today through the week. Clouds will help it to not feel quite as hot through the day today. We will likely see temperatures climb a bit more by the weekend once the ground dries out from recent rainfall. Most of the area will see low 90s Friday through Monday.
Overnight lows will stay in the 70s through the rest of the week keeping it very warm. Humidity will prevent temperatures from dropping too much at night.
