NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It feels like summer around the area Monday and that will continue over the next few days. Look for mid to upper 80s today through Thursday with a lot of humidity. Overall rain chances will remain low around 20% today and Tuesday with a spotty shower possible but not much. Best chance for a shower looks to be north of I-12.

Temperatures will gradually increase each day and we may even see our first 90 degree day of the year in New Orleans on Wednesday or Thursday. Overnight lows will only drop into the 70s.

We are watching the potential for a cold front on Friday which could bring in some lower humidity and cooler air by the weekend. Expect some scattered showers and storms with the front. There are still some details to be worked out though in terms of timing and strength of the front. It also looks like rain will be possible again Sunday but that also could change over the next few days.

For now, stay cool and follow along for more info on that possible late week front.
