NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Good Morning, New Orleans and a Happy April Fools Day! Our forecast for the morning into afternoon is no joke as temperatures remain anywhere from 70s to eventual 80s! We have a combination on warmth, humidity, low lying cloud cover, and some patchy fog. So far, visibilities are looking pretty good exceeding a mile in most spots! They’ll improve as the morning progresses. We’ll have a combination on peaks of sunshine and clouds today. Near record-high warmth is possible both today and tomorrow before we cool down mid-week.
This afternoon, temperatures will jump into the mid 80s before cooling down towards 60s and 70s once more overnight. We’ll copy and paste the forecast for early Tuesday morning before rain chances return late. At that point, a cold front will swing through and bring eventual dry, cool air by Wednesday. We top out in the 70s again by mid-week.
The second half of the week looks just about perfect as temperatures remain in the 70s, right around average! Have a great start to your month!
