NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mild conditions are on the way as we go through the final weekend of the Carnival season. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70s by Friday and stay there until a front moves through.

Right now rain chances look low through Friday as well. A few showers are possible on Saturday but most of the rain moves in Sunday and Sunday night. Sunday parades could be soggy. Rain may linger into Monday morning but right now a lot of the Lundi Gras festivities look dry by the afternoon.

Temperatures will be quite a bit cooler however as the front pushes through. Expect breezy conditions on Monday and then nice weather for your Mardi Gras.
