NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Patchy fog is out there again Thursday morning but will burn off quickly as we heat up. Look for mid to upper 80s again today with muggy conditions.

The main story will be a cluster of rain and storms coming out of Texas through the day. This continues to be a tricky forecast in terms of how much rain we see out of this if any. Right now it looks like the best chance will be north of I-10 later this afternoon and evening. However some activity could make it onto the south shore as well which could occur during the Jazz Fest evening time frame. Keep an eye on the radar through the day.

Friday looks like hit or miss activity in terms of rain at about 50% chances. Beyond that it gets hot and humid through the weekend as temperatures heat back up to the upper 80s. We could see some 90 degree days across the area next week.
