We won.

We did it, District C. I couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you for your confidence. I won’t let you down.

I want to thank my family, especially my wife, Casandra. I want to thank my mom and dad, my sisters, and my beautiful children. I’m so blessed. Thank you for always being there for me. I also want to thank my campaign team and volunteers. Each and every one of you made a huge difference.

We were fortunate to be supported by elected officials who got us the momentum we needed at the right time – Congressman Troy Carter, Governor John Bel Edwards, Mayor LaToya Cantrell, District Attorney Jason Williams, Councilmember Helena Moreno, Councilmember-elect JP Morrell, Councilmember Donna Glapion, State Senator Gary Carter, School Board Member J.C. Romero, and so many more. I’m grateful for all of them.

To the ministers, the community leaders, the small business owners – you were integral in this victory. I will make you proud and never forget that our community comes first.

Most importantly, the voters – the residents of District C who I have served from taking your phone calls at City Hall, to meeting your needs as an attorney, to praying with your families.

The bottom line: I’m ready.

All of my experience has led me to this. Having been the director of constituent services for District C, I know what it takes to ensure that people’s voices are being heard. Because I was a public defender, I know how to fight for people who might not have anyone else fighting for them. And as a small business owner, I know how important it is that our city government creates opportunities that work for everyone.

I’m ready to put an end to violent crime and make it so that people don’t need to live in fear of becoming a victim.

I’m ready to bring more opportunities for small businesses to District C so that all of our entrepreneurs can live out their dreams.

I’m ready to stop illegal dumping so that we can get rid of these eyesores and make our playgrounds safe for our kids to play on.

I’m ready to cut through the red tape of city hall so that nobody has to put up with endless bureaucracy to get things done.

I can’t wait to get to work fighting for the people of District C. You deserve a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation when it comes to decisions that impact your neighborhood. I’m going to make that happen.
