NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Museum of Art is known for its prime location in the center of City Park. It’s got countless pieces of artwork, great exhibitions and even a café you’ll want to check out.
Café NOMA is a Ralph Brennan restaurant and this year, it’s offering a two-course lunch menu during Restaurant Week.
For the first course, diners have a choice of a caprese salad with mozzarella, olive oil and fresh basil or chicken and sausage gumbo with white rice.
For the entree, Chef Bernard Carmouche is serving up a Creole boiled shrimp ravigote salad with gulf shrimp tossed in a ravigote sauce, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, sunburst squash, mixed baby greens, bacon devil egg and shaved radishes or a seared drum on a corn maque choux with a drizzle of Creole tomato glaze.
“You can go into City Park for a bike ride, sit down and just enjoy yourself,” said Carmouche. “The uniqueness about the menu here is that I locally source the best ingredients. You know, like right now grilled tomatoes is in season, sauce and grilled tomatoes, fresh crawfish tails, you know, whatever I can get my hands on from local. That’s what we’re going to be doing here at Café NOMA.”
The two-course lunch is $25 per person.
