PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WGNO) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left a person dead in Pearl River County on Thursday, July 4.
The MHP reported the crash happened on Highway 13 in Pearl River County around 11:39 p.m.
They said an investigation shows a 19-year-old was driving a Jeep south on Highway 13 while 23-year-old Jocelin Sanchez was driving a Toyota north. The Jeep then reportedly hit the Toyota.
Sanchez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
MHP officials said the investigation is ongoing.
