TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A joint investigation by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit for human trafficking led to the arrest of a Houma man on Friday, Jan. 19.

LSP investigators said they learned that a human trafficking victim contacted the Houma Police Department and TPSO to report that 29-year-old Henrys Suarez was allegedly forcing them to have sex with unknown men for money in Jefferson Parish.

LSP SVU investigators said they arranged a meeting with Suarez and a separate victim, where a price was agreed upon for sex. A traffic stop was conducted where Suarez allegedly attempted to get away but was taken into custody.

A second trafficking victim who was with Suarez was safely recovered.

Suarez was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center and faces charges of human trafficking and pandering.
